Kim has been extensively involved in all aspects of architectural practice for more than 30 years. Throughout his career, it has been very important to Kim that he be involved in a hands-on way for the entire life of each project he works on. He has deliberately shaped his practice to enable him as a principal to remain the primary contact for every project he is involved with.

Kim enjoys working on a variety of project types and has always sought a balance of projects allowing him to design for a range of clients within the university, government, and private sectors. His many successful past projects have shown time and again that significant user input throughout the design process not only results in a smoother construction phase with fewer change orders and greater budget control, but also delivers to the client a building that is thoughtfully matched to their needs.
